Barn Hop 68

I actually have some meal worms Im raising, but I really have no clue what Im doing. Janie seems to have a handle on things. In fact, Id say shes nearly a pro! If she were my neighbor, Id start bartering for worms... quick as a wink! Or Id have her mentor me in the fine art of meal worms.

I just want to know how does she get the worms separated for the chickens to eat? Janie, if youre reading this... Id love a follow up post with even more. Truly, I think this is fascinating and I would love to have a self-sustaining form of protein for my layers.
For all you teenage boys out there... are you reading this? Seriously. You could start a small business and fund your way through college. Many a suburban chicken farmer would be interested in this sort of food for their hens.
If youve been featured in the past...
If youve been a featured blogger on the Barn Hop, either today or in the past, we now have a special button for you should you wish to add it to your sidebar stating that youve been a featured blogger! You can find it on my button page by clicking the hen with the blue barn on my sidebar that says "HR Buttons". Its a good idea to link it back to the page where you were featured so your readers can see where youre actually mentioned. (These buttons do not have a code since it needs to be linked to the page youre featured in and it will change from week to week. Just copy the button or drag it to your desktop).

Please remember this is a family friendly link up. Any pictures or posts linked to the hop which aren’t appropriate for our children to view or read will also be deleted immediately. We’re pretty conservative, so we ask that you use good judgment and err on the side of caution.

Understanding Chicken Behavior The Submissive Squat

Recently you might have noticed that your pullets, who used to scatter and run when you approached them, now stop, drop and squat at your feet. But before you pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself that all these weeks of bringing them treats has finally paid off and now they are cool with you petting them, keep reading to find out what that 'squat' really means.
